SC Shanghai New Material Tech. Co.,Ltd. manufactures Coffee Packaging Bag structures for whole-bean and ground coffee, built on multi-layer co-extruded and laminated films. Our range covers printed retail pouches, plain stock bags, drip-coffee filter film and roll stock, supplied to roasters, co-packers and distributors worldwide.
Every coffee pouch is configured around the working point: roast level, fill weight, degassing behaviour, shelf-life target and the filling line it will run on. We confirm material structure, valve type, zipper, seal format and print method before a quotation is issued.
Rotogravure-printed pouches for branded retail coffee, using customer-supplied .ai or .pdf artwork. Flat-bottom, box and stand-up formats with valve and zipper options.
Unprinted 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg aluminium foil bags and flat-bottom bags, including stock items for roasters who label in-house.
The coffee family sits inside a wider flexible packaging platform that includes Mono-Material Package structures for recyclability programs and Stand up Pouch formats shared with other food categories.
| Product Type | Typical Structure | Application Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Printed flat-bottom / box pouch | PET/AL/PE, PET/VMPET/PE | Retail roasted beans, 250 g–1 kg, high shelf presence |
| Stand-up pouch with valve | PET/AL/PE + one-way valve | Degassing whole beans, resealable zipper |
| Plain aluminium foil bag | PET/AL/PE, food-grade LDPE sealant | Bulk, private label, sticker-labelled packs |
| Drip coffee filter film | Multi-layer composite filter structure | Single-serve drip bags, high-temperature brewing |
| Roll film for VFFS | 7–11 layer co-extruded PA/PE, PA/EVOH/PE | In-house form-fill-seal coffee lines |
Roasted coffee releases carbon dioxide for days after roasting and simultaneously degrades through oxygen and moisture uptake. The packaging structure has to manage both directions of that exchange without ballooning or losing aroma.
Configuration is driven by the filling line and the retail format, not by a fixed catalogue. We confirm each of the following during the proposal stage.
Our Shanghai plant runs multi-layer co-extrusion film blowing and rotogravure printing lines, with a daily output of approximately 550,000 packaging bags and 2,500 tonnes of roll film. Production is managed under ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC and GMP systems, with ISO 13485 also held for medical-adjacent work.
Quality control covers incoming resin verification, in-process seal and print checks, and final inspection against customer specification. Physical tests include tensile strength, puncture resistance and seal performance; chemical and barrier tests cover material composition and gas transmission. Freezing, vacuum and transport simulation tests are used where the application requires them, and batch traceability runs from raw material to finished goods.
Coffee pouches are usually filled on VFFS, premade-pouch or doypack lines. We match film width, core diameter, winding direction, coefficient of friction and sealant layer to the machine so that the film runs at the line's rated speed without wrinkling or seal failure.
To prepare an accurate configuration and quotation, we work from the following project inputs. Missing items are confirmed with the customer before production begins.
| Input | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| Product form and fill weight | Determines pouch dimensions, film thickness and valve sizing |
| Roast level and degassing profile | Sets valve requirement and headspace allowance |
| Target shelf life and storage conditions | Drives barrier layer selection (foil, metallised or EVOH) |
| Filling line type and speed | Defines roll format, core size and sealant specification |
| Artwork files (.ai or .pdf) and print colours | Required for rotogravure or digital print setup |
| Order quantity and delivery destination | Determines print method, MOQ and shipping mode |
Coffee pouches are consumables rather than maintained equipment, so serviceability focuses on consistent reorder quality and stable print reproduction across batches. We retain reference samples and print standards so repeat orders match the approved first article.
Documentation typically includes material structure confirmation, batch inspection records and certificates covering ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC and GMP. Packaging is supplied on cores or in cartons suited to the customer's handling, and delivery is arranged by sea or air from Shanghai, roughly 50 km from Shanghai Port.
For extended shelf life we recommend PET/AL/PE or PET/VMPET/PE, which provide strong oxygen and moisture resistance. Where a foil-free or recyclable structure is preferred, we build PA/EVOH/PE or mono-material PE options and confirm barrier performance against the target shelf life.
Yes. Because roasted beans release carbon dioxide, we add a one-way valve to prevent the pouch from ballooning or bursting. Valve diameter and position are matched to fill weight and the filling line's clearance.
We hold stock of white and black public-version bags in 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg formats, including aluminium foil and flat-bottom styles. These suit roasters who apply their own labels or stickers.
We require ready-made .ai or .pdf files from your designer. We do not provide design services, but our prepress team checks colour separation, bleed and print registration before plates are made.
Yes. We supply 7–11 layer co-extruded PA/PE and PA/EVOH/PE roll film, with width, core diameter and winding direction matched to your form-fill-seal equipment. Pilot rolls are available for line trials.
Our production is managed under ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC and GMP systems, with ISO 13485 also held. Batch inspection records and certificates are available with each order.
Our portfolio also includes 250g,500g,1 kg Coffee Bean Packaging Bag for applications with different operating ranges, interfaces or integration requirements.
